Joe Vasiloff and Anna Ngo are to be married in Auckland, New Zealand on 14 February 2023! They have been together for about 15 years after meeting in Los Angeles, CA. We are leaving for Auckland on 9 Feb. Gina Vasiloff and her wife Katie Torgersen will be flying with us on our leg from Dallas to Auckland. We plan on staying at the home of Anna’s parents – father Long Ngo and stepmom Celia. Additionally Anna’s friend Eileen Cavenaugh and husband Dane will attend.

Anna has planned a post-wedding trip to the South Island. We fly to Queenstown and explore the area for 2 days. The town is a global magnet to outdoor adventurers and thrill seekers. Then we visit Mt. Cook, the highest peak in the southern Alps, and stay in Omarama. Finally we drive to Te Anna in Fiordland for two days. We are spending nights at BNBs.

We are very excited about the trip and are looking forward to meeting Anna’s parents. We are also very interested in learning more about New Zealand, especially the earliest settlers – the Maori people – who traveled to the Islands by canoe in the 1200s. The Maori name for New Zealand is Aotearoa, land of the long white cloud.
